Retainer Based Pricing Overview

Our retainer based pricing is used for ongoing client marketing campaigns. We typically start with a monthly retainer (budget) and determine what mix of marketing methods are best suited for a particular client. With each client the priorities are different and where we apply their budget is unique to them. For example some clients major in social media and others email marketing and or PR. For some clients, Instagram plays a huge role and for others, it might be Linkedin. 

The first month’s retainer is used to produce an overall marketing strategy that forecasts methods, activities, timelines, and frequency. All subsequent monthly retainer payments are allocated to the execution of the strategy. The strategy will usually start out very collaboratively allowing for both parties to get a deeper understanding of each other, building trust and a series of successes. 

A smaller retainer can allow the client who is new to professional marketing to begin to engage their market using one or two mediums. The smaller budget puts limits on frequency, for example, quarterly newsletters as opposed to monthly. Or weekly social media posts as opposed to daily. Starting with baby steps is often a wise strategy.
